Product Description

Taking everything players loved about the original TimeLine and pushing it even further, the Strymon TimeLine MX is a powerhouse delay pedal built for serious sonic explorers. With enough processing muscle to run two effects at once, it delivers stunning studio-quality sounds while remaining incredibly easy to use on stage — especially with its large OLED screen.

World-class delay sounds

Warm vintage echoes, expansive ambient textures, captivating modern delays… the TimeLine MX has you covered. All 11 onboard delay engines have been carefully tuned to respond musically to your playing, with every control calibrated for an intuitive feel. In short: there's a wealth of inspo here, regardless of your playing style.

All-new delay engines + reverb

Alongside enhanced versions of Strymon's classic TimeLine algorithms, the MX introduces four brand-new delay engines that open up a huge range of creative possibilities:

  • Spectral: Strymon's take on a granular delay. Slice your signal into fragments and apply pitch, reverse, time-stretch or filtering effects to create a montage of glitchy patterns or fascinating panoramas.
  • MultiTap: Perfect for building complex rhythms with per-tap control over pan, level, filtering and more. Choose from built-in patterns or create your own.
  • Oil Can: This vintage circuit recreation serves up dark, murky and unpredictable repeats with syrupy modulation and evolving textures that drift and morph over time.
  • Drum: Reproduces the character of old-school drum echo units, complete with organic warble and soft-clipped repeats. Adjust play head spacing, level, feedback and panning to craft intricate evolving patterns.

What's more, Strymon has added a stellar built-in reverb engine that provides everything from small rooms to expansive soundscapes with long, atmospheric decays. Together, the delay and reverb engines make the TimeLine MX a complete ambience solution in a single pedal!

Built for modern musicians

There's plenty more under the hood too, including a 5-minute stereo looper, full MIDI control, plus the ability to pan the output of each delay engine. Whether you're building massive immersive textures, crafting rhythmic echoes or simply looking for the ultimate all-in-one delay workstation, the Strymon TimeLine MX is easily one of the best delay pedals available today.

Features
  • Tri-core 800 MHz ARM processor: Delivers a staggering amount of computing power, fully dedicated to producing breathtaking delay and reverb sounds.
  • Bright OLED screen: Easy to read in any environment, with clear and intuitive navigation.
  • 12 delay/reverb engines: The MX features all-new Oil Can, Spectral, Drum, Reverb and MultiTap engines, alongside enhanced versions of Strymon's classic TimeLine delays.
  • Run two effects at once: Dual delays can be routed in Series, Parallel or Split modes for powerful sound design possibilities, with independent panning for max routing flexibility.
  • 5-minute stereo looper: Choose between multi or 1-button modes. The looper can be placed before or after the delay effects. And in 1-button mode, it can be used on the fly without switching to Looper mode.
  • MIDI control & more: Change presets and control parameters with MIDI via USB-C, TRS or DIN connections. Access the looper controls (including reverse, redo and half speed) without entering Looper mode. Plus, adjust controls via an expression pedal while you play.
  • Stereo input/output (plus stereo send & return): All jacks are TRS stereo, providing selectable I/O configurations for any professional setup. That includes stereo or mono effects send/return, wet/dry and wet/dry/wet.
  • Swell & Duck for every delay engine: Apply smooth fade-ins to your delay repeats with Swell. Or use Duck to keep delay repeats quieter while you’re playing, and then naturally fade up and get louder when you’re not.
  • Nixie 2 software support: Create and edit presets, adjust parameters in real time and back up your fave sounds with a click. Nixie 2 also allows you to manage multiple compatible Strymon pedals from a single streamlined interface.
  • Tap Tempo footswitch: Keep your delays perfectly in time with the band and control the 1-button looper. You can also control each machine separately in a Dual patch with your feet.
  • Integrated effects loop: Insert mono or stereo external effects via the internally repositionable hardware effects loop for even greater tonal versatility.
