JHS Pedals are well known for their colourful and great sounding analog effects. While they mostly focust their efforts on the pedal format, this new seires offers a fantastic new range to the lineup.
The JHS 500 series brings these fantastic effects to a recording/producing environment. Instead of a pedal, the 500 Series modules are transformed into high quality studio tools, made in the popular lunchbox format so that you can mix and match to create your own 500 series rack of effects for your studio.
Based on its pedal counterpart, the Emperor 500 is a true bucket brigade analogue chorus and vibrato module that gives rich, warm modulation to your tracks. Using this all analogue signal path as a basis, the Emperor 500 gives you a range of controls to suit the type of effect, including speed, depth, tone and waveshape. There's also a tap tempo feature so that you can quickly and easily sync the speed to the tempo you want.
Here's what JHS say about the Emperor 500
The Emperor 500 is a “first-of” for the 500 series world: An all analog signal path tap-tempo modulation effect unit. The Emperor 500 is a true bucket brigade analog chorus and pitch vibrato with warm and lush modulation that doesn’t know anything other than pure analog. From sea-sick vibrato to chorus and Leslie organ tones, the Emperor 500 does it all.The features of the Emperor 500 make it a powerful tracking and mixing unit that will cover all the modulation ground you would ever need.
