    Product Description

Big tone from DXP and DXJ pickups

The Dynamix P and Dynamix J pickups on the Ibanez TMB-100 Talman Bass are designed to bring you the vibe of the most famous electric bass guitars in history. From the fat, thumping rock tones to soft, mid-rich R&B tones, you've got a wide sonic territory to explore with the TMB-100 Talman Bass.

Custom electronics and 2-band EQ for sonic versatility

Once you've got your basic tone dialed in with the TMB-100 Talman Bass, use the 2-band EQ to help cement your place in the mix. Once you play with it for a bit, you'll be able to tweak the tone of the TMB-100 Talman Bass for any musical role in seconds.

    Cool retro looks

On top of the cool design and finish, the Ibanez TMB-100 Talman Bass sports a chrome bridge and tuners, and acrylic block inlays for some extra style. Speaking of style, you can't beat the look of that tortoiseshell pickguard when it comes to vintage mojo!

It’s ok for the price you pay. My first item came faulty and the replacement one wasn’t great - volume knobs were still a little loose and I had to adjust the neck. I didn’t ask for another replacement because at that point I was already late on some recording I had to do with it, so I just accepted the fact that it isn’t a great product. Again, good for the price!

I'm giving 4 stars because realistically it's unfair and incorrect to put this bass against say a dingwall or a sadowsky but for the price, it's a ****** good bass and I'd be hard pressed to find something as useful at such a small budget

I’ve never played bass before but always want to learn so bought this as a first try and loved it, so easy to play and surprisingly light, would definitely recommend

I’m a teacher who doesn’t -yet- play bass but needs to teach it; so my needs were that it was cheap (things get knocked about in schools), reliable and would hold tune as some pupils who would be using it wouldn’t be able to tune it themselves). I also wanted a retro look so that no one expected me to start playing prog, because (trust me) I would only let them down. So, bearing in mind I’m a guitar player who only before buying this had only picked up a bass once his life, feel free to take this mini review with many punches of salt... I like the looks, I have a few Fenders and it doesn’t look out of place, it has a Mustang vibe to it and is the only instrument I own that my wife has positively commented on! It has great tonal versatility though I will confess that I’m playing it through a Helix and frfr cab and not through a dedicated bass amp. The neck is lovely and fast and feels comfortable when played for long periods, apparently it is gloss but it feels like satin. No fret problems that I would expect to find on something at this price point. If you’ve ever watched a Rob Chapman video you know you need to run your fingers over the nut to test the quality of workmanship, it feels well cut to me. After the lockdown I was planning on treating myself to a new tele but after playing this I might go for another Ibanez.
