Gretsch Broadkaster Guitars

The Broadkaster offers old school Gretsch aesthetic with a more sound and playability.

Gretsch Broadkaster Guitars

The Broadkaster hits all the classic Gretsch design points: large bodies, dual f-holes, Filter'Tron-style pickups, and Bigsby vibrato tailpieces - if you're looking for that famous Gretsch aesthetic you'll find plenty of it with the Broadkaster range. While the Broadkasters may have the look of guitar from the 50s, they have a more modern tone and playability.

The Broadkasters are Gretsch's flagship range of centre block guitars. With a semi-hollow, centre block guitar you get warmth and resonance from the hollow sections but with added sustain and stability from the central block, meaning you can play it at higher-gain without worrying about unwanted feedback.

The USA-made Full'Tron pickups give the Broadkasters their more modern tone. While they might look like Filter'Trons, Full'Trons sacrifice a little bit note-definition in exchange for increased power. The result is a great bridge between the articulate but low-output Filter'Tron and the powerful but less-articulate PAF-style humbucker. This makes the Full'Tron a highly versatile pickup that sounds great for anything from jazz to rock. The Broadkaster is part of the Professional series which offers Gretsch's highest build-quality and playability outside of their custom shop.
