Product Description

This definitely isn't your classic Tele. The Fender limited edition Custom Telecaster is a beefy dual humbucker guitar delivering on powerful driven tones for the modern player.

Body and neck

The Custom Tele takes on a completely unique look within the Fender range. That stunning flamed maple top sits on a resonant mahogany body. This custom model is designed from the bottom up for contemporary control, precision and sharp aesthetics.

Vintage specs on this limited edition Tele are out, modern specs are in. The matching Mahogany modern 'C' neck is built for pure speed. Above is an Indian laurel fretboard that's slightly flatter than the standard Fender radius. Embedded are 22 jumbo frets, making this an excellent choice for lead playing.

Sound

Equipped are two hot Seymour Duncan pickups; a '59 in the neck and a Pearly Gates in the bridge. The Pearly Gates pumps out an extra hot P.A.F sound with a slightly boosted midrange. Expect a serious gain kick while also holding plenty of focus.

The '59 in the neck is an extremely versatile pickup. This is your classic sounding humbucker providing a full range frequencies with bright attack. But you're not limited there. This Tele has coil-splitting capabilities, so you're able to get vintage Fender single-coil tones with a pull of the tone knob.

Hardware

There's no three-saddle bridge here. The Custom Tele is kitted out with a modern string-though hardtail to ensure excellent stability and comfort for the picking hand. At the other end, the graphite nut kills any pesky fret buzz.

Absolutely banging guitar. Worth every penny. Absolutely recommend it if you want a twin humbucker tele with coil splits and a normal headstock…. Lovely colour. Lovely fretboard with jumbo frets - easy to play. The pick-ups are excellent.

I have a Peavey (Steve)Cropper Classic guitar as my daily driver, now sadly discontinued. This Fender HHFMT is perfect as a replacement. It is very light. It looks great. The pickups are powerful and very smooth. It sounds like a tele, it punches shred like my 1960 model, LP Classic. I always wanted the Fender Robben Ford guitar to get that “Talk To Your Daughter” tone which this guitar delivers on brilliantly. It covers the Stevie Ray Vaughn sound and feel, I also think it could handle a set of 12 gauge strings without dropping tuning as the action and play-ability is excellent right out of the box. You-tube it, research it and buy one before the price goes silly. Chris x

As stated in my review of Anderson's, the telecaster has one piece missing - a grub screw which Fender, I presume, have sourced and are sending to me direct!

Delighted with my new Fender guitar (#6). I think the build quality of the Indonesian made FMT Telecaster HH is far superior to my American made models, no hard case but that is normal in this price range and TBH I actually prefer a decent soft case when traveling anyway. The sound of the Seymour Duncan pickups is something to behold through a Plexi.

This guitar is an absolute tone machine! My step father has one in red and the second I had a go on it, I fell in love with it. The coil tapping basically gives you 5 guitars in one and the sounds it kicks out makes you feel like someone is pouring warm chocolate into your ears (actually, that might not be too pleasant!). The jumbo frets take a little getting used to if you usually play something with smaller frets but by no means does it hold back its playability. It's just another feature that makes it an outstanding instrument to play. Extremely versatile and it looks gorgeous, better than in the pictures for sure. I'd absolutely recommend and I think it's worth every penny. I don't think you would find much better under a grand and I honestly think soke higher priced Teles wouldn't stack up against it.

This was totally an impulse buy from the moment I saw it in the limited editions section. So thanks for that. It looks even better in real life and sounds amazing. The pick ups and the coil splitting option give so many options.
