Written by

Sam Beattie

The Spatial Delivery V2 is your new go-to auto-wah pedal, offering three modes for all your funky needs.

Crazy effects

Upward Filter Sweep, Downward Filter Sweep and Sample and Hold settings provides anything from phaser swishes through your tone, to the latter setting using random voltages resulting in strange computer-like bleeps.

With three control knobs; range, resonance and filter, you can control the sensitivity, speed, responsiveness and feedback. This envelope filter will keep you experimenting with your tone for the foreseeable future.

Ease of Use

EarthQuaker Devices has also built in its new Flexi-Switching technology for momentary and latching true bypass.
Top-mounted jacks mean you can squeeze this pedal into your board even if you weren’t planning for it. For a fun, unique sound this is the pedal for you.

What's Quacking - Envelope Filter Pedals On Bass

Here's what EarthQuaker have to say about the Spatial Delivery V2:

The Spatial Delivery is a voltage-controlled envelope filter that’ll help you explore the final frontier of funk while reinforcing your secret love affair with auto-wah. And it does Sample & Hold!

Key Features:

  • Voltage controlled Envelope Filter with Sample & Hold
  • 3 filter modes: Upwards sweep, Downwards sweep and Sample & Hold
  • Filter control - Crossfades between Low Pass, High Pass and Band Pass
  • New V2 flexi-switch - allows for latch and momentary operation
  • True bypass - Silent soft-touch switching
  • Top-mounted jacks - for effortless pedalboard implementation

The Spatial Delivery V2 has three modes – Upward Filter Sweep, Downward Filter Sweep, and Sample & Hold.

In Up and Down modes, you’ll get super precise touch-sensitive tone sweeps with a variety of filter types. In both modes, the Spatial Delivery’s controls for “Range,” “Resonance,” and “Filter” interact to deliver anything from subtle phaser-like modulation, to whistly resonant peaks.

The “Range” control adjusts the sensitivity of the envelope, dialing in the overall touch-responsiveness to pick attack.

“Resonance” adjusts the feedback of the filter. Counter-clockwise settings yield a rounded, subdued tone, while clockwise settings increase the body and ring of the filter voice, resulting in a sharp, peaky tone. The “Filter” control crossfades between Low-Pass, Band-Pass, and High-Pass filters, so only the good bits of your signal get freaky funkified.

In Sample & Hold mode, the filter is controlled by a random voltage, which causes a series of unpredictable bleeps and bloops, and honestly, is just good clean fun. In this mode, the “Range” controls the speed of the effect, and if you figure out what the rest of the controls do, let us know, will you? Add an octave before/after the Sample & Hold and you’ll have created a deep-fried space droid computer freakout!

The Spatial Delivery V2 is true-bypass, and built one-at-a-time by a bunch of damn jokers in Akron, Ohio, USA – where we would never, ever dream of faking the funk on the nasty dunk.
