The Danelectro '57 is a modern reissue of the brands' classic U2 model from the late '50s. It features the same single cutaway body, packed full of the vintage charm, style and sound that made it a popular choice for guitarists during its heyday.
The original U2 model is one of the most highly sought after Danelectro guitars by collectors. Thanks to this current-day recreation, you'll be able to harness the same look, feel and tone of a bygone era for a more than affordable price! It's a seriously versatile instrument too - lending itself well to everything from rock and country, through to blues and jazz.
A solid spruce body has been paired with a bolt-on maple neck - augmented with a pau ferro fingerboard. This delivers excellent performance, with a smooth, quick action, even during the most intense bouts of playing.
It's equipped with a pair of the brands' highly regarded, vintage '50s lipstick pickups. They're known for their combination of crispness and clarity (in neck and bridge positions), with a contrasting decadent punch found in position two. These are operable using the 3-way selector switch.
