Product Description
The Audix NovaCore NCEC is a professional extended cardioid wireless capsule designed to deliver clear, balanced vocals across a wide dynamic range. Voiced from the acclaimed Audix OMX stage microphones and built around proprietary VLM capsule technology, it brings natural, articulate sound and fast transient response to the NovaCore wireless platform and compatible S-thread systems.
With its extended cardioid polar pattern, the NCEC offers a broader, more forgiving pickup area while maintaining excellent off-axis consistency. This makes it a superb choice for vocalists and presenters who move around the stage, helping to keep levels stable and tone even without constant gain riding. Internal vibration isolation further reduces handling noise, so performances stay focused on the voice rather than unwanted bumps and thuds.
The NCEC capsule mounts directly to the Audix NCHH handheld transmitter via standard S-thread and can also be used as a sonic upgrade on many third-party S-thread wireless handhelds. Whether you are standardising a NovaCore rig or improving an existing wireless system, the NCEC gives engineers a flexible, drop-in solution for modern stages and houses of worship, corporate events and live music.
Optimised for digital wireless transmission and interchangeable with the Audix NCTH capsule, the NCEC offers a refined, musical vocal sound that translates reliably in demanding RF environments. It is sold individually and is also included as part of the NCHHEC bundle.
Extended Cardioid Control
The extended cardioid polar pattern provides a wider pickup angle than tighter capsules while still focusing on the source. This helps maintain a consistent vocal tone as performers move on stage, reducing the need for constant fader or gain adjustments and helping to keep the mix stable.
OMX-Derived Voicing with VLM Technology
Drawing its voicing from the Audix OMX series and using proprietary VLM capsule technology, the NCEC delivers natural, studio-like vocal reproduction with strong transient response. The result is articulate speech and singing that cuts through the mix without sounding harsh or hyped.
Low Handling Noise
Internal vibration isolation minimises handling noise, making the NCEC ideal for energetic performers and presenters. Movements, mic swaps and on-stage handling are less likely to translate into unwanted thumps and rumbles, keeping the focus on the performance.
Flexible S-Thread Compatibility
Using a standard S-thread mount, the NCEC fits the Audix NCHH handheld transmitter and many third-party S-thread wireless handhelds. This allows engineers to upgrade the sound quality of existing systems quickly and easily, without replacing the entire wireless infrastructure.
