Product Description
The Alvarez Artist AD70CE-BLK is a powerful dreadnought cutaway acoustic electric that blends classic tonewoods with modern stage-ready electronics. With a solid A+ Sitka Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides and LR Baggs StagePro Bronze preamp, it is built to deliver a bold, articulate voice whether you are strumming hard, fingerpicking or plugging in for live performance.
Finished in a sleek high gloss black, this guitar offers the familiar depth and projection of a full-size dreadnought, while the cutaway and comfortable neck make it easy to explore the upper frets. FS6 bracing, a bi-level Rosewood bridge and real bone nut and saddle work together to maximise resonance, sustain and clarity, giving you a responsive instrument that rewards a wide range of playing styles.
Solid A+ Sitka Spruce Top
At the heart of the AD70CE-BLK is its solid A+ Sitka Spruce top, chosen for its strength, consistency and musicality. Solid Spruce opens up over time, giving you a sound that becomes richer the more you play. Out of the box it delivers strong projection, a lively attack and excellent dynamic range, making it equally at home with delicate fingerstyle passages and full-blooded strumming.
Rosewood Back and Sides
Rosewood back and sides complement the Spruce top with a full, piano like low end and clear, singing trebles. This combination produces a rich, articulate sound with plenty of definition, helping chords ring clearly and single notes stand out in a mix. Whether you are accompanying vocals or playing instrumental pieces, the tonal balance makes it easy to sit comfortably in any ensemble.
Dreadnought Cutaway Design
The classic dreadnought body gives you the volume and low end that players expect from a full-size acoustic, ideal for unplugged rehearsals, songwriting and performance. The cutaway design adds practical upper fret access, letting you reach higher notes for solos, melodic fills and more adventurous chord voicings without sacrificing the guitar’s natural power and projection.
LR Baggs StagePro Bronze Electronics
For live performance and recording, the LR Baggs StagePro Bronze system captures the natural character of the guitar and translates it into a clear, musical amplified sound. Designed specifically for acoustic instruments, it provides a reliable, high quality signal that works well with PA systems and acoustic amplifiers, giving you confidence on stage and in the studio.
Features
- Solid A+ Sitka Spruce Top - A solid A+ Sitka Spruce top delivers strong projection, clarity and dynamic response. Because it is solid rather than laminated, the top can resonate more freely and will continue to develop in tone as you play, rewarding regular use with an increasingly open, expressive sound.
- Rosewood Back and Sides - Rosewood back and sides emphasise both bass and treble frequencies, giving you a rich low end and sparkling highs with a slightly scooped midrange. This makes the guitar ideal for strummers and singer songwriters who want a full, spacious sound that leaves room for vocals.
- Dreadnought Cutaway Body - The dreadnought shape provides plenty of volume and presence, while the cutaway allows comfortable access to the upper frets. This combination suits players who need a powerful acoustic voice but also want the freedom to play higher up the neck for solos and more intricate arrangements.
- LR Baggs StagePro Bronze Electronics - The LR Baggs StagePro Bronze system offers a high quality amplified tone that stays true to the guitar’s acoustic character. It is designed to give a clear, balanced sound when plugged in, helping you move seamlessly from practice room to stage without compromising your core tone.
