Product Description
The Amplified Nation Bigger Bloom is a compact overdrive preamp pedal that bottles the touch sensitivity, harmonic richness and singing sustain of coveted D style amplifiers. Building on the acclaimed Big Bloom, this updated version adds a touch more gain, a more pronounced midrange and extra clarity at higher settings, giving you a throaty, forward attack that pushes your amp into glorious, musical overdrive.
Designed to sit at the heart of your rig, the Bigger Bloom reacts to your playing dynamics and guitar volume just like a great valve amp. From sax like, jazzy lines to thick, saturated lead tones that effortlessly tip into controlled feedback, it delivers a refined, expressive drive that feels inspiring under the fingers. With top mounted jacks and simple 9v operation, it is an easy fit on any pedalboard.
D Style Amp Feel Underfoot
The Bigger Bloom is voiced to capture the response and tonality of legendary D style amplifiers. Notes bloom into rich harmonics, chords stay articulate, and the overdrive feels fluid and elastic rather than stiff or compressed. This makes it ideal as an always on foundation tone or as a responsive lead boost that rewards subtle changes in pick attack and guitar volume.
More Gain, More Mids, More Clarity
Compared to the original Big Bloom, the Bigger Bloom offers slightly more gain and a more pronounced midrange, helping your sound cut through a band mix without becoming harsh. The refined circuit delivers improved clarity at higher gain settings, so even saturated tones retain definition and note separation, perfect for articulate lead work and complex chords.
Flexible Rock / Jazz EQ Voice
A dedicated Rock / Jazz EQ switch lets you tailor the overall character of the pedal to your playing style. Use the Jazz setting for smoother, darker, sax like lines and laid back fusion tones, or flip to Rock for a more aggressive, forward voice with extra bite and presence. Combined with the Accent and Tone controls, it gives you a wide palette of usable sounds from one compact box.
Pedalboard Friendly Design
The Bigger Bloom is housed in a compact enclosure with top mounted input and output jacks, making it easy to slot into tight pedalboard layouts. Power it via a standard 9v supply or a 9v battery, and you have a versatile, amp like overdrive that is ready for studio sessions, rehearsals and gigs without taking up unnecessary space.
Features
- Preamp Overdrive Inspired by D Style Amps - The Bigger Bloom behaves like a responsive amp front end, delivering touch sensitive overdrive, rich harmonics and smooth sustain that feels natural and musical under the fingers.
- Enhanced Gain and Midrange Presence - With slightly more gain and emphasised mids compared to the Big Bloom, this pedal offers a throaty, forward attack that helps your tone sit perfectly in a mix while still remaining clear and articulate.
- Rock / Jazz EQ Switch with Accent and Tone Controls - Quickly move from warm, rounded jazz voicings to punchy rock tones using the Rock / Jazz switch, then fine tune your sound with the Accent and Tone controls for everything from subtle drive to thick saturation.
- Compact, Top Jack Layout with 9v Operation - The small footprint and top mounted in / out jacks make the Bigger Bloom easy to integrate on any board, while standard 9v power or battery operation keeps setup simple and compatible with most pedal power solutions.
