Product Description
The Alvarez Artist AJ80CE is a full-bodied jumbo electro acoustic designed for players who want huge acoustic power with stage-ready electronics. With its solid A+ Sitka Spruce top, maple back and sides and LR Baggs StagePro EQ system, it delivers a bold, shimmering voice that translates beautifully whether you are strumming unplugged or performing through a PA.
Combining Alvarez’s advanced FST2 bracing with quality tonewoods and thoughtful hardware, the AJ80CE offers impressive volume, clarity and sustain while remaining responsive to your touch. Add in a comfortable cutaway, real bone components and reliable die-cast tuners, and you have a workhorse jumbo that feels inspiring every time you pick it up.
Powerful Jumbo Tone
With its large jumbo body, the AJ80CE produces a commanding acoustic sound with rich low end, sparkling highs and plenty of natural volume. Chords sound big and enveloping, while single notes have a piano-like presence that easily fills a room. If you are accompanying singers, leading worship or playing solo acoustic sets, this extra projection helps your playing sit confidently in the mix.
Solid A+ Sitka Spruce Top
The solid A+ Sitka Spruce top is carefully graded for consistency and responsiveness, giving the guitar a lively, dynamic character. It reacts well to both light fingerpicking and heavy strumming, offering a wide tonal range and excellent note separation. As a solid top, it will also open up and become even more resonant the more you play it.
FST2 Forward Shifted Bracing
Alvarez’s FST2 forward shifted asymmetric tone bar bracing is designed to let the top move more freely while still providing strength and stability. By moving the main braces closer to the soundhole and shaping them asymmetrically, the guitar gains extra volume, improved bass response and enhanced sustain, without losing clarity or definition across the strings.
LR Baggs StagePro EQ & Element Pickup
The AJ80CE comes equipped with an LR Baggs StagePro EQ and Element pickup, giving you a professional-quality amplified sound straight out of the box. The undersaddle Element pickup captures the natural character of the guitar, while the StagePro preamp offers volume, EQ and phase controls plus a built-in tuner. This makes it easy to dial in a clear, feedback-resistant tone on stage and stay perfectly in tune between songs.
