Product Description
Here to bring the heat, the Tone City Blue Crystal is a crisp overdrive inspired by the legendary, gold-standard bluesy stompbox. As part of the legend series of pedals, Tone City are paying homage to the effects that have defined contemporary guitar playing, and the Blue Crystal lives up to its name delivering smooth musical textures to your guitar tone. This one is for the real audiophiles.
Crisp drive while preserving natural dynamics
When you've got a great guitar amp tone, you want to preserve the sound and dynamics of it as much as possible. But what if you want to get a little more out of the gain stage – a little more thickness and sustain? That's where the Blue Crystal comes in: it doesn't colour your tone outside of very light tweaking options for treble and bass, it just adds to the greatness already on display.
You're getting vintage warmth without sacrificing clarity and transparency unlike the effects of many drive pedals. An ideal choice if you're after authentic amp response while adding grit and thickness with simple controls and operation.
Premium components
Tone City have gone all out with high spec DIP components: military‑grade metal‑film resistors, WIMA audiophile capacitors, rigorously screened operational amplifiers, diodes and transistors, and quality immersion‑gold‑plated PCBs.
All this goes to mean that the Blue Crystal imparts outstanding sonic characteristics while being incredibly durable and long-lasting.
