Novation Launchkey 88 [MK4] - 88 Note DAW Control Surface

Novation Launchkey 88 is a powerful 88-note USB MIDI controller keyboard designed to give musicians, producers, and performers complete hands-on control of their creative workflow. Featuring a premium semi-weighted waterfall-style keybed, it delivers a responsive playing experience that feels equally at home with expressive piano performances, virtual instruments, and synth parts. The intuitive control surface includes eight endless rotary encoders, nine faders, dedicated transport controls, and 16 velocity-sensitive FSR pads with polyphonic aftertouch for finger drumming, clip launching, and performance control. Deep integration with major DAWs, including Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, FL Studio, Reason, Bitwig, and Ardour allows immediate control without complicated setup. Creative tools such as Scale Mode, Chord Modes, Chord Maps, and the built-in Arpeggiator help generate musical ideas while keeping performances in key, with clear feedback provided by the crisp OLED display. Split and Layer modes expand performance possibilities by allowing multiple instruments or MIDI channels to be played simultaneously. Class-compliant USB connectivity, full-size 5-pin MIDI output, and compatibility with iPhone and iPad make Launchkey 88 equally capable in studio, stage, or mobile production environments. It also includes an extensive collection of professional software, instruments, and effects to help you start creating straight away.

Professional Control for Every Production:

Launchkey 88 has been designed to provide a seamless connection between your ideas and your software. Dedicated integration with Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, FL Studio, Reason, Bitwig, and Ardour delivers immediate access to transport controls, mixer functions, plugin parameters, and timeline navigation. The 16 RGB pads also double as clip launchers in supported software, giving you a fast and intuitive workflow for recording, arranging, and live performance. Eight endless encoders and nine faders provide precise control over instruments, effects, and mixing, while Custom Modes allow you to create personalised mappings for software, hardware, or unique production workflows.

Designed for Expressive Performance:

The custom-designed semi-weighted waterfall keybed offers an excellent balance between piano-style response and synth playability, making it suitable for a wide range of musical styles. Sixteen patented Force Sensitive Resistor pads with polyphonic aftertouch provide exceptional sensitivity for finger drumming, melodic performance, and expressive control. Dedicated pitch and modulation wheels add further performance possibilities, while Split and Layer modes allow you to divide the keyboard into separate playing zones or control two MIDI channels at once. The bright OLED display keeps important performance information clearly visible throughout every session.

Inspiration Built Into the Hardware:

Launchkey 88 includes a comprehensive suite of onboard creative tools that work independently of your computer, making them equally effective with software, hardware synthesisers, or mobile devices. Scale Mode keeps every performance in the chosen key, while Fixed Chord, User Chord, and Chord Maps make building complex harmonies simple. The enhanced Arpeggiator provides flexible sequencing options for evolving musical ideas, and the Chord Detector displays recognised chords directly on the OLED screen. A generous software bundle including Ableton Live 12 Lite, Cubase LE, Native Instruments Komplete Select, Novation Play, and professional virtual instruments completes a powerful production package.
