Product Description
Drawing from Jackson’s iconic shapes, the JS Series JS22 Surfcaster hits that sweet spot between retro cool and modern performance. It’s got all the attitude you’d expect from a Jackson, but with a fresh twist that makes it perfect for today’s players — especially if you’re after a serious offset metal machine without spending a fortune!
Ride the wave of playability
The Surfcaster’s lightweight Poplar body is paired with a bolt-on Maple neck that gives you a rock-solid platform with loads of resonance and stability. Up top, the bound Amaranth fingerboard features a slick 12”–16” compound radius, so chords feel comfortable down low and solos stay smooth and choke-free up high. Throw in 22 jumbo frets, and you’ve got a neck that’s a real smooth ride.
Powerful pickups
Plug in and the Surfcaster absolutely roars. The high-output Jackson humbuckers are primed for thick, saturated gain — perfect for everything from chunky riffs to soaring leads. Controls are kept simple with just a single volume and tone knob, so you can focus on playing rather than tweaking. A dependable Jackson hardtail bridge rounds things off, keeping your tuning locked in and your setup nice and stable.
Features
- Poplar body: A softer wood that offers a meaty, resonant tone with a pronounced upper midrange sound similar to Alder.
- 12"–16" compound radius fingerboard: Slightly rounder at the nut for easy chord work, then flattens out as you head up the neck — perfect for big bends, fast runs and precise lead playing.
- 22 jumbo frets: Big, smooth frets that make bending and vibrato feel easy, so you can play with plenty of expression.
- High-output Jackson humbuckers: Ready to pump out the thick, saturated distortion tones that built the Jackson legacy.
- Jackson HT6 string-through-body hardtail bridge: Provides increased sustain and allows for precise intonation adjustment.
