Product Description

This is wireless systems made easy. Boss introduce the WL-20L, which you simply need to plug in and get playing. No frequency changing to do, just really simple, intuitive tech to give you peace of mind.

Key Features

  • Plug-and-play wireless systems for guitar, bass, and other electronic instruments
  • No complicated setup required—simply dock the transmitter and receiver together for about 10 seconds to set the optimum wireless connection
  • Newly developed BOSS technology delivers premium audio performance with rock-solid stability, ultra-low latency (2.3 ms), and 50-foot/15-meter range (line-of-sight propagation)*
  • Built-in rechargeable batteries provide up to 12 hours of continuous playing time**
  • Simple charging with a standard USB adaptor (5 V/500 mA or greater)
  • Cable tone simulation reproduces the natural capacitive effect of a 10-foot/3-meter guitar cable (WL-20 model only)
  • Spare WL-T Transmitter available separately
  • Compatible with active pickup bass and guitars

Reliable and quality audio

Extremely compact, the WL-20L fits snugly into your guitar out the way, not disrupting any playing comfort. Simply dock the transmitters to set up connection quickly and charge for up to 12 hours of playing time.

Don't expect any signal drop-outs as the Boss wireless system works in a 2.4 GHz frequency for great audio. Ultra-low latency also prevents a lag between playing and the amp producing the sound. The only difference between the WL-20 and the WL-20L is the lack of tone cable simulation, which is ideal anyway for acoustic guitars with a preamp on board, as the capacitance won't change the tone.

These Boss WL-20L compact Wireless Guitar Systems are very good, however, mine suffers interference when plugged into my McNally OM (with LR Baggs Anthem Tru-Mic pickup fitted). It was only when I researched trouble shooting answers from Boss that I discovered this is a known issue with some acoustic guitars. My Yamaha AP4 (bought from Andertons in 1992!) is fine! It's not a complete deal breaker, but it is annoying to have to use a Male to female jack connector to set the transmitter further away from the body. Perhaps this should be noted on the web site??

Perfect so far. Easy to set up, easy to use, great sound, and the batteries seem to last long enough for two one hour sets.

Great wireless system. No interference or noise, crystal clear. Good range. Only small hiccup is that the transmitter can occasionally come out of the jack socket very slightly (on my Ibanez at least) and as a result the microswitch is deactivated causing a temporary loss of signal. Consequently you have to be a little careful not to knock the transmitter when playing.
