If the only available stock is in our off-site warehouse it can be brought to the store location for you to try - you just need to contact the store within opening hours. Please note any requests received after 3.30pm will not arrive at the store until the following morning.

Obsolete Devices 2N1175 Transformer Boost is a hand-built germanium boost, preamp and tone enhancer that adds up to 18 dB of level along with rich harmonic colour, warmth and dynamic response. Centred around a rare batch of NOS General Electric 2N1175 germanium transistors and a Triad Magnetics output transformer, it is designed to bring character and musical saturation to any rig.
At its core, the Transformer Boost is all about touch sensitivity and feel. It can sit at the front of your signal chain as an always-on tone sweetener, adding depth and presence to clean and edge-of-breakup sounds, or it can be used as a powerful solo boost to push your amp or other pedals into more expressive overdrive. With excellent volume knob clean-up and a highly interactive Low Cut control, it rewards players who like to work their guitar controls and play the amp rather than simply stacking gain.
