Gibson Flying V Guitars

What we'd class as one of the first modern body electric guitars. The Flying V still has heads turning to this day over half a century since its release.

Gibson Flying V Guitars

Originally released in the ‘50s, the Flying V first came on the scene alongside the Explorer, making a dynamic duo of signature Gibson shapes that we’ve grown to recognise and love. Given the striking body shape, it's no surprise that the Flying V was originally met with mixed views, but it continues to turn heads to this day. Gibson has made a number of tweaks since then, but the new models retain all of the V's most definitive mojo.

Today, the Flying V is one of the most well-recognised solid-body guitar shapes in existence, and one of Gibson’s flagship models. Similar to the Explorer Range, the Gibson Flying V is available in both the original and the modern Gibson collections. Complete with all of the mod-cons you’d expect, the Flying V range has a solid mahogany body, slim taper neck and of course Gibson’s famous BurstBusker Pickups.
