Product Description
Sunn O))) are titans in the drone and ambient metal genre. Their heavy guitar tones require some series firepower to create the wall of feedback and distortion heard on the likes of 2019’s Life Metal and Pyroclasts, and their Self-Titled release in 2026. That’s why the metal duo teamed up with wild effects icons EarthQuaker Devices to create the Sunn O))) Halflife.
Three distinct circuits in one
This jam-packed stompbox contains a classic distortion, a blendable octave up and a clean boost to push your amp into clipped ecstasy. Each stage of the pedal represents a part of the core front-end chain used during the band’s live sessions from the Life Metal era driving the valves of the band’s multiple vintage Sunn O))) Model T amps from the front-end. The Halflife thrives when stacked with other pedals or amp gain.
Ultra flexible
Fancy using the Halflife to power your entire distortion section of your pedalboard? That’s perfectly doable too, as it’s loaded with a heck of a lot of gain for all your gritty needs. The It’s also about half the size of the previous Life Pedal V3 and benefits from top-mounted jacks, so you’re sure to find space for it in your setup. Complete with unique artwork to meet the doomy vibes.
