The Cloud Microphones Cloudlifter Mini CL-25 Mic Activator is a compact, in-line gain booster that delivers up to +25 dB of ultra-clean, transparent gain for any passive microphone. Designed in collaboration with Neutrik, it plugs directly into your mic or preamp, instantly lifting low-output dynamics, ribbons and tube mics so they sound fuller, clearer and more detailed, without adding noise or unwanted colour.

Whether you are recording vocals, podcasts, instruments, Foley or capturing delicate ambience, the CL-25 helps your microphones perform at their best. By increasing mic sensitivity before the signal hits your preamp, it keeps your preamp working in its sweet spot, dramatically reducing hiss, distortion and frequency loss that can creep in at high gain settings. Built around Cloud’s patented Class A discrete JFET circuitry, the CL-25 uses standard 48 V phantom power to activate its internal electronics, but it never passes phantom power through to the microphone itself.
