Product Description
The Ibanez V40LCE-OPN is a comfortable, cutaway dreadnought electro acoustic that gives you reliable performance, clear plugged-in tone and an easy playing feel at a very accessible price. With its Spruce top, Meranti body and Ibanez electronics, it is an ideal first electro acoustic or a dependable backup for rehearsals, open mics and casual gigs.
A classic dreadnought body delivers a familiar, full-bodied acoustic sound, while the cutaway makes upper-fret chords and melodies far easier to reach. The Ibanez undersaddle pickup and AEQ-2T preamp with built-in tuner let you plug straight into an amp or PA with minimal fuss, keeping your sound clear and controlled. Finished in an Open Pore Natural look, the V40LCE-OPN feels organic and inviting, encouraging you to pick it up and play.
Whether you are learning your first chords, leading singalongs or stepping onto a small stage, the V40LCE-OPN offers the core features you need: a comfortable neck, stable tuning, a responsive top and simple, effective electronics. It is a straightforward, no-nonsense workhorse that keeps the focus on your playing.
Comfortable Cutaway Dreadnought Design
The cutaway dreadnought body gives you the projection and low-end depth associated with larger acoustics, while the cutaway opens up access to the higher frets. This makes it easier to explore lead lines, extended chords and melodic fills without sacrificing the classic dreadnought punch that works so well for strumming and accompaniment.
Spruce Top with Meranti Back and Sides
A Spruce top provides bright, clear articulation that helps your chords and picking patterns ring out with definition. Paired with Meranti back and sides, the V40LCE-OPN delivers a warm, balanced overall tone that suits a wide range of styles, from gentle fingerpicking to more energetic strumming.
Nandu Wood Fretboard and Bridge
The Nandu Wood fretboard offers a smooth, familiar feel under the fingers and contributes a rich, warm character to the guitar’s sound. Matching Nandu Wood for the bridge helps transfer string vibration efficiently into the body, supporting a natural, resonant acoustic tone that responds well both unplugged and through an amp.
Plug-in Ready with Onboard Tuner
With an Ibanez undersaddle pickup and AEQ-2T preamp, the V40LCE-OPN is ready to plug into an amplifier or PA using a standard 1/4" cable. The preamp gives you simple bass and treble controls to shape your sound, and the built-in tuner lets you tune quickly and accurately without needing any extra gear.
Features
- Cutaway Dreadnought Body - Combines the powerful projection and low-end presence of a dreadnought with the practicality of a cutaway, making higher frets easier to reach for solos, fills and extended chords.
- Spruce Top with Meranti Back and Sides - The Spruce top delivers crisp, clear tone and good volume, while the Meranti back and sides add warmth and balance, giving you a versatile sound that works for strumming and fingerstyle alike.
- Ibanez Undersaddle Pickup and AEQ-2T Preamp - The undersaddle pickup captures the natural acoustic character of the guitar, and the AEQ-2T preamp provides bass and treble controls plus an onboard tuner, so you can dial in your sound and stay in tune on stage or in rehearsal.
- Nandu Wood Fretboard and Bridge with Advantage Pins - A smooth Nandu Wood fretboard enhances playing comfort, while the Nandu Wood bridge and Ibanez Advantage pins make string changes easier and help keep the strings securely in place for consistent tone and tuning stability.
