The PJD St. John Standard is a no-frills offset that can become your #1 workhorse guitar! Hand-built in the UK, this model comes equipped with high-quality electronics and hardware from Bare Knuckle Pickups and Gotoh respectively. It also boasts a chambered American Ash body and Roasted Maple neck, giving the instrument a truly exquisite feel and sound, while its custom "C"-shaped profile is so addictive — it should come with a warning sign! Extras include a rugged hard case and a PJD Certificate of Authenticity.
- Chambered American Ash Body — Exceptional timber that's bright and rich in sustain, with a beautiful grain to boot! Chambered to reduce weight and boost resonance.
- Bolt-On Construction — Produces a snappy note response for an immediate playing experience.
- Roasted Maple Neck — Roasting process crystallises resins and removes all of the natural moisture retained by the neck wood, ultimately darkening the material and adding stability for rock-solid tuning!
- "C"-Shaped Neck — Custom profile provides comfortable playability, suitable for both traditional and contemporary players. The nitrocellulose finish is also luxuriously smooth!
- 10-12” Compound Radius Fingerboard — Rounded at the lower end of the neck to make chords easier to fret, this radius subtly flattens out the higher you go; making fast passages feel easier to play.
- Jescar 55090 Frets — Narrow tall fret-wire offers a controllable feel for wide vibrato and pitch-perfect string bends.
- Tusq Nut — Low-friction material minimises unwanted tuning slips and enhances sustain.
- Gotoh Hardware — 6-saddle hardtail bridge allows you to precisely set the action and intonation for each string, with the vintage-style tuners keeping everything stable!
- Bare Knuckle Pickups — The unique Old Guard humbucker and P90 set is suitable for classic blues, rock, country, pop and alternative styles. Featuring Alnico II magnets, these pickups have a low output range and are capable of producing open, dynamic tones. Hand-wound in Devon, UK.
- CTS Potentiometers — Enable smooth control over pickup volume and overall tone.
- Included Hard Case — High-quality, PJD-branded case protects the instrument against knocks on the road.
