Key Features
- Select Tonewoods - Heritage in name and by practice, Heritage guitars are renowned for their expertise in tonewood selection. In keeping with the classic wood formulas found in many of the most famed models, select wood is chosen for its harmonic musical resonance, weight and visual aesthetic.
- Curly Maple Top - Premium grade Curly Maple in a jaw-dropping Dirty Lemon Burst. Its stunning curly flames move and change at different angles, transfixing anyone who passes by. As much practical as it is beautiful, the Maple top perfectly accentuates this guitar's top end, ensuring a gorgeously balanced tone.
- Seymour Duncan ’59 Humbuckers - Seymour Duncan's tribute to the most famed and replicated pickup set. The ’59 model captures the tone, dynamics and response of the elusive PAF humbucker, providing an open and sweet tone with rich sustain and a detailed articulation.
Heritage Guitars
It's easy to admire guitars built in the ‘golden era’ and forget that behind the music, there are people who craft these instruments, tools which help make them and a building that holds everything together. In 1985, one of the most important workforces in guitar manufacturing was due to be disbanded and relocated. Leaving with it, one of the most influential guitar factories in the world, as well as a whole series of custom-made machinery and tools, which would be left to gather dust and rot. Fuelled by a desire not to leave Kalamazoo and to preserve the legacy that the world-famous factory on 225 Parsons Street had helped formulate, a group of passionate employees decided to purchase the iconic building as well as the original guitar-making equipment it housed. Fittingly named Heritage Guitars, they continue the goal of producing some of the finest handcrafted American-made guitars, made the old-fashioned way, in small quantities using only the finest materials available and built to the highest possible standards.
