Product Description

The Walrus Audio Lüm Texture Engine Pedal is a limited edition sonic experiment designed to transform your instrument into a lush, immersive soundscape. Limited to just 600 units worldwide, the Lüm combines elements from the acclaimed Slö Reverb, Lore Reverse Reverb, and Fable Granular Generator to create three unique granular and textural reverb modes. Whether you’re seeking ethereal ambient textures or dynamic, shifting effects, the Lüm offers a versatile palette that blurs the line between instrument and ambient sound design.

Featuring three distinct modes, the Lüm scatters and reassembles your signal in captivating ways. Mode I (Grain Cloud) uses dual granular taps from a feedback delay line to create glitchy, cloud-like textures. Mode II (Grain Verb) bathes grains in lush reverb, ideal for placing before high-gain pedals. Mode III (Forward Reverse Verb) combines forward and reverse reverbs for playful rhythmic interplay. The pedal includes a unique Moment control that automates any one of five parameters, allowing for expressive real-time motion. Additionally, the Stretch Engine alters the sample rate between 0.5x and 2x speed, adding further depth and interaction to your sound.

With onboard presets for seamless live transitions and selectable bypass modes for natural decay or instant cut, the Lüm is a powerful tool for musicians and sound designers alike. Its muted blue matte finish, original artwork by Emily Ursä, and compact design make it as visually striking as it is sonically inspiring.

Three Distinct Granular Reverb Modes

The Lüm offers three innovative modes that manipulate your signal in unique ways: Grain Cloud creates glitchy, textured delays; Grain Verb immerses grains in reverb for a rich, ambient wash; and Forward Reverse Verb layers forward and reverse reverbs for rhythmic complexity. These modes provide endless creative possibilities for shaping your sound.

Moment Control for Dynamic Automation

Hold the Moment switch to automate any one of the five control knobs, gliding smoothly to a defined target. This feature adds expressive motion and evolving textures to your playing, enabling dynamic soundscapes that respond in real time.

Stretch Engine for Time Manipulation

Adjust the sample rate from 0.5x to 2x speed with the Stretch parameter, stretching time and interacting uniquely with grain size, reverb decay, and filter tone. This allows for creative manipulation of your textures, from slow, droning atmospheres to faster, shimmering effects.

Limited Edition with Onboard Presets

Limited to only 600 units worldwide, the Lüm features three onboard presets with smooth fade transitions, perfect for live performance. Choose between Trails or Instant Cut bypass modes to tailor the pedal’s behaviour to your playing style.
