Product Description

The EastCoast ST1 is the ultimate beginner guitar for almost any style of music. The iconic S-style axe was the second electric guitar ever produced and hundreds of brands have put their own twist on the classic design.

Sound

The ST1 has three single-coil pickups - the parts of the guitar that take the sound of the strings and directs it into an amp. These produce a twangy, bright tone suited to crisp clean sounds and searing solo leads. There are loads of sounds to explore because of the three interchangeable pickups. Perfect for players who want to play lots of styles of music.

You might be wondering what the protruding handle is coming out of the bridge. This tremolo or 'whammy' bar as it's commonly known, lets you change the note of the string without moving your left hand. You can get extremely creative with the tremolo.

Looks

Almost every guitarist has played or owned an S-style guitar, be it one suited to blues, folk, jazz or metal. The double-cutaway makes it extremely easy to get your left hand up to the highest of the 22 frets. These are the thin metal bars across the fingerboard. The more you have, the more notes you can play.

After getting fed up of trawling ads for a decent low cost second hand guitar for my daughter I decided to take a punt on a new East Coast strat. Andertons own review of it was reasonably convincing ( as I guess it would be) but at £99 I didn't have a lot to loose I'm honestly absolutely staggered with what turned up. The quality far exceed my expectations. Even unplugged the guitar absolutely rings. It holds tune really well and arrived perfectly set up. The fret ends really smooth. Way better than my £700 big name tele. I literally can't fault it.

Bought for teenage daughter who reached Grade 3 Acoustic and wanted electric guitar. Watched the helpful YouTube videos explaining options. Daughters happy, I’m happy! Can’t really comment on durability as only had couple weeks!

After watching your enthusiastic online reviews I took a chance and bought one. To say I was surprised is a massive understatement! The finish is superb, the neck is lovely and smooth with no sharp fret ends at all and the action is just right - not too high or too low. This guitar is amazing value for money and I'm so glad I bought it!! For a beginner or a sit-at-home player it is perfect! Try one!!
