Onto the guitar.. The Squier Classic Vibe feels very like a Toy compared to say a Fender Player Strat.. The Body Wood is very light and soft to be Nato... The Neck is as I said, very toy like in feel to me.. The Trem especially the Trem claw is the worst I have saw so far.. So I have to admit I am disappointed in the guitar.. I am sure the Korean Plywood Squier Strat I bought in 1990 and owned for a Few years felt and Played better.. I found it funny these selling for over £200.. Now I can maybe see why they are.. My other guitar was a Gibson Les Paul at that point,,oh!! and a Westone Spectrum.. So that Korean Plywood Squier had strong competition.. I realise there has been a lot of inflation since them.. I just wonder how the present lesser Squier Strats feel in the range.. As the body is lightweight and I like the colour.. I intend to use it to construct a super light guitar.. Different neck and trem... Better Electrics / Pickups.. I have had a few heart operations and heart attacks.... This would make a good lightweight guitar to help that situation.. £329 is a bit pricy for a guitar body,,but, most replacement bodies don't list weight.. At least I have a Strat Body I know is actually light in my possession... Plus I have always liked metallic purple..

A great guitar, but contrary to Lee and Pete’s « great out of the box « assertions re Squier Classic Vibes, I found that a visit to my luthier was necessary to correct the neck relief and action. I have to say this has been the case with three or four recent Squier purchases. Nothing disastrous and the guitars are great once set up properly.
