Shabat describe their Puma model as "an eye-catching offset beauty with true vintage style." We couldn't agree more! With a very well-balanced design and comfortable curves, this unique electric guitar also features a relatively short 24.75" scale for an easy-playing, spongy feel that'll allow for expressive bends and wide vibrato.
The Shabat Puma sports a light Sugar Pine body that comes loaded with a pair of Lollar Blademaster pickups — delvering glorious Jazzmaster "jangle" but with extra heat. This is paired with a rock-solid roasted Maple neck, adorned with a silky-smooth Rosewood fingerboard that features a modern compound radius.
Other noteworthy features include a Seafoam Green over 3-Tone Sunburst finish, pearloid block inlays, Kluson Deluxe tuners and a Mastery bridge with a Bigsby tremolo. Hand-crafted in Los Angeles, California to highest of standards — the Shabat Puma is a standout choice for the alt-rocker after something a bit different!
Key Features
- Sugar Pine Body — A lightweight timber with striking resonance; giving the pickups an even more lively and vibrant character.
- Roasted Flamed Maple Neck — Roasting process crystallises resins and removes all of the natural moisture retained by the neck wood; ultimately darkening the material, reducing weight, and increasing stability for rock-solid tuning!
- Medium "C" Neck Profile — A supportive, addictive shape that lets you play blazing riffs and fluid leads without hindrance.
- 9.5"-12" Compound Radius Fingerboard — This ergonomic fingerboard radius is rounded at the lower end of the neck to make chords easier to fret, and flattens out the higher you go so that fast passages feel much easier to play. It also helps to prevent string bends from fretting out!
- Lollar Blademaster Pickups — Compared with standard Jazzmaster pickups, these Blademasters deliver higher output without limiting fidelity; producing a warmer tone that is fatter and fuller.
- Mastery Bridge with Bigsby Vibrato — The Mastery bridge is a high-end, beautifully-engineered feature that produces rich, piano-like harmonic overtones. Paired with the Bigsby tailpiece, and you've got yourself a gorgeously-smooth tremolo system!
- Graph Tech TUSQ XL Nut — Material is impregnated with PTFE, the slipperiest substance on earth! This alleviates the binding grip that the nut has on the strings, to make sure that they glide back into tune.
- Handcrafted in the USA — This premium electric guitar is built in California for the most discerning of musicians, promising "a level of performance any artist would expect from a professionally-designed, handcrafted instrument."
