Product Description

The Squier Classic Vibe '60s Telecaster Thinline is a nod to the early semi-hollow Tele models from the 1960s, creating incredible tone courtesy of a pair of Fender-Designed alnico single-coil pickups. Player-friendly features include a slim, comfortable "C"-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5"-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets, as well as a vintage-style Telecaster bridge with a string-through-body design and individual steel saddles for precise adjustment.

This throwback Squier model also features 1960s-inspired headstock markings, rich-looking nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tint gloss neck finish for an old-school vibe.

Key Features

  • Nyatoh Body — A Mahogany-like material that underpins the instrument with a rich mid-range quality.
  • Bolt-On Construction — Produces a snappy note response for an immediate playing experience.
  • "C"-Shaped Neck — Medium/slim profile provides comfortable playability, suitable for both traditional and contemporary players.
  • Vintage-Tint Gloss Neck Finish — Gives the guitar an aged look reminiscent of true '60s instruments.
  • Narrow-Tall Frets — Offer a controllable feel for wide vibrato and pitch-perfect string bends.
  • Fender-Designed Alnico Pickups — Two single-coils deliver the iconic "twangy" sound synonymous with Telecasters!
  • Strings-Through-Body Bridge — 3-saddle bridge captures the legendary look and sound of "Golden Era" Teles, with string-through design boosting body resonance.

For the price, this is a great guitar. I already own a Fender Tele as well as a Fender Strat (from the Vintera range), and the quality of this Squier is right up there (at less than half the price). To be honest, the big draw for me is that, at approx. 6lbs, the Squier is so much easier on my poor ol' back: it's a joy to slip on this guitar (after playing either of my other two) as I hardly notice any weight. The semi-hollow/acoustic nature of the Squier also makes for enough noise to practice without plugging in. All in all, I'm very happy and see myself playing the Squier more than either of my other two guitars (even though I do love those guitars, too). If you are looking to dip your toes into the Thinline world, in my opinion you can't go wrong with the Squier.

Love the guitar. Had no intention of buying a Thinline Tele but as soon as I played it something clicked. That it's sparkly gold too just adds to my enjoyment.
