The Les Paul CM was originally introduced as a spot run done at the end of the 2015 USA run. It was so popular however that Gibson decided to continue it on for 2016 with its subtle and stripped back design this Les Paul is a rock machine made for the stage.

The Junior Reborn
When looking at this guitar I am sure a lot of you will immediately start comparing it to the legendary Les Paul junior. Both guitars feature a simple 2 knob control layout, single pickup and wraparound bridge. This however is where the similarities end.

The Les Paul CM for example has a beautifully contoured body rather than the flat top of the Junior and a smooth worn satin finish all the way up the body and neck for the best playability possible without breaking any budgets.

Single Pickup
Some will look at this guitar and write it off due to it only having one pickup but it does have a lot more versatility than you might imagine. With the tone and volume dimed this single '61 humbucking pickup delivers what you would expect out of a hot bridge pickup. Dial them back a bit though and you actually get some sweet warm tones that are close to the response of a neck pickup.

Solid Hardware
Even at this great value level Gibson still want to deliver great tuning stability and feel. That is why this guitar is fitted with their own intonated stoptailpiece that is not only as solid as a tank but it also keeps your guitars pitch in check.

Matching up to this bridge you have a set of manual traditional style tuners that not only finish off the look but also make sure you can easily aget set up before you hit the stage and not have to worry for the rest of the show.
