Product Description

The Fender American Standard Jazz Bass is an iconic image in rock 'n' roll history. To maintain its status as a modern classic, Fender have upgraded the USA J-Bass to 2012 specs so you can enjoy great, cutting edge tone with the universally-recognised Jazz Bass aesthetics.

The new Jazz Bass features Custom Shop 60s J-Bass pickups which is a marked improvement from the previous stock models. Fat, round, vintage tone means that the 2012 Jazz Bass has more character than ever! Naturally, Fender have still kept the quality of workmanship and materials on their flagship line of guitars pristine. Hand rolled fretboard edges and a carefully-applied thin finish to ensure as much natural resonance as possible are features that come as standard. With attention to detail like that, you know you are getting a quality instrument every time.

My first 'pro' bass. I thought my Squier VM was amazing (it still is) but the Standard American Standard Jazz ramps it up to another level. The finish is fantastic, the pickups are excellent and, after changing to flat-wounds to suit my style, it plays as good as it looks. I totally recommend this bass to anyone who wants a slim (38mm nut width) neck and typical jazz tones.
