The Lauten Audio LA-220 is a two-tone FET microphone that allows you to choose between the warmth of a classic microphone - and the clarity of a modern microphone - at the flip of a switch.
Many traditional microphones are designed to be used with expensive signal chains that most musicians and producers simply won’t have access to – with this in mind, Lauten specifically designed the LA-220 to sound great out of the box, without the need for any high-end mixing consoles or boutique microphone preamps!
Centered around a custom-made Lauten Audio capsule and hand-soldered circuit path, Lauten’s unique microphone design gives you the musical colour and gentle compression associated with classic signal chains straight into your audio interface.

Lauten Audio is a family-owned manufacturer of boutique, premium condenser microphones, designed and tested in sunny California (USA).

Get your recording right first time with the LA-220’s built-in high- and low-pass filters (HP: Flat / 120 Hz, LP: Flat / 12 kHz), cutting out low-end rumble and taming harsh treble frequencies, reducing the need to apply EQ from your DAW or mixing console.

The LA-220 utilizes the same upgraded capsule as its larger tube sibling, the LA-320. Unlike traditional capsule designs, our hand-tuned 32mm transducer naturally imparts gentle compression and balance to any sound source, making it ideal for use in an array of string, percussion, and vocal applications. - What’s inside really matters:
Hand-soldered with high resolution, low distortion polypropylene capacitors and resistors, a US-made ultra-low noise JFET, and a vintage-inspired output transformer. - Shock mount:
Shock mounts are important for helping remove those unwanted vibrations from your recordings.

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
Then, your order will come through to Andertons and we'll send you the goods. Get approval before 3pm and we'll send your order out the same working day (stock permitting) for next working day delivery!
Who can apply for finance?
You must: spend over £300, be at least 18 years of age, have been a UK resident for 3 years or more, be able to make repayments by Direct Debit, be in regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your partner who is in regular employment.
