Product Description

Building on the success of Fender's American Vintage range, the American Vintage II series takes things up a notch, offering incredibly accurate recreations of Fender's most timeless designs. With period accurate bodies, necks and hardware and meticulously voiced, year-specific pickups, the American Vintage II series pays tribute to the revolutionary designs that altered the course of popular music forever.

The Fender American Vintage II 1973 Stratocaster perfectly captures the tone and feel of an original CBS-era Strat. With its alluring contours, round-laminated Rosewood fingerboard, crystalline sound and comfortable '73 "C" shape Maple neck, you would be forgiven for thinking you were playing a genuine vintage guitar. Featuring an Ash body with a gloss Polyurethane lacquer finish, the 1973 Stratocaster is the stuff of legends, designed for players with a keen appreciation of vintage instruments!

At the heart of the '73 Strat is a trio of Pure Vintage '73 staggered pole Stratocaster pickups for a host of sparkling single-coil tones that will take you back to the now classic CBS-era of Fender's decorated history. Other premium appointments include a large headstock with dual string trees, vintage-style “F” stamped tuners, a convenient “Bullet” style truss rod nut and a three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt™ mechanism.

Key Features

  • Large '70s-Style Headstock - During the CBS-era, Stratocasters boasted a larger headstock so the iconic Fender logo could be clearly seen on TV!
  • Pure Vintage '73 Stratocaster Pickups - Vintage-voiced single coil pickups that produce iconic, sparkling Fender tones in abundance!
  • American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo - Allows for plenty of vintage vibrato effects whilst maintaining excellent tuning stability.
  • '73 "C" Shape Maple Neck - A classic, period-accurate neck profile that is synonymous with CBS-era Fenders. Perfect for both rhythm and lead playing.
  • Vintage-Style Black Case - A rugged hard case offering excellent protection, with a stunning orange interior!
