The venerable Music Man StingRay model has been at the forefront of the bass world since its introduction in 1976; notably the first production 4-string bass to feature onboard active equalization. The StingRay Special carries the torch into the 21st Century, featuring the same road-ready build and legendary aesthetic that came before, but meticulously refined and updated to suit the most discerning of modern-day bassists.
Boasting a rock-solid construction, the iconic oval pickguard, 3+1 tuning key configuration, and the ever-popular Music Man humbucker — these timeless components combine to produce a look, feel, and sound that is remarkably unmistakable.

- Refined Body Contours — Rounded for improved comfort in any playing position while retaining that revered StingRay sound.
- Roasted Figured Maple Neck — Roasting treatment increases the wood's stability, durability, water resistance and tolerance of temperature changes for pitch-perfect tuning. The neck is sealed with a smooth oil/wax finish which helps make it feel similar to a well-played bass neck, and comes topped with a warm-sounding Rosewood fingerboard.
- Stainless Steel Frets — Offer excellent corrosion resistance, with the wide, high-profile fret-type providing a quick response and great articulation.
- 5-Bolt Sculpted Neck Joint — Allows for unrestricted access to all 22 frets, for incredible playing freedom.

- 18-Volt Preamp — A newly-designed 3-band preamp delivers ample amounts of clean headroom, meaning that you can crank the volume without "crushing" or distorting your bass sound.

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
Then, your order will come through to Andertons and we'll send you the goods. Get approval before 3pm and we'll send your order out the same working day (stock permitting) for next working day delivery!
Who can apply for finance?
You must: spend over £300, be at least 18 years of age, have been a UK resident for 3 years or more, be able to make repayments by Direct Debit, be in regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your partner who is in regular employment.
