MOTU now bring a powerhouse to their collection, the 828 interface, with built in DSP effects and a virtual mixer, this helps save your computers CPU by letting your interface handle a lot of the processing. It’s ultra low latency is amazing for being able to record a dry signal of your guitar, but also monitoring with effects and amp sims from your PC and recording that result.

iPhones and iPads can now also work with the CueMix 5 over WiFi using the CueMix 5 control. Great if you’re recording an artists as they’ll be able to adjust their own mix to what they need and want to help them give their best performance.

  28 inputs and 32 outputs, including two combo XLR/TRS mic/line/hi-Z guitar inputs with send/return inserts, 8 TRS analogue (line-level) in/out, separate main outs on XLR jacks, two banks of 8-channel optical I/O, stereo RCA S/PDIF digital I/O, and two front-panel headphone outputs.
• Foot switch input:
  Connect a standard foot pedal switch (sold separately) for hands-free punch-in and punch-out while recording. Or map the pedal to any keystroke function in your host software.

  Flexible 24-input digital mixer with 8 stereo busses and DSP effects, including reverb, 4-band EQ, gate and compression, when used with CueMix 5 for iOS this can also be a fantastic unit for guitar re-amping when also combined with the ultra low latency round trip.
