Product Description

Forming part of Taylor's popular 700 series, the all new 724ce Koa is a versatile Grand Auditorium acoustic boasting all-solid construction and a vibrant new voicing. Born out of Taylor's forest restoration efforts in Hawaii, the 724ce Koa benefits from new varieties of Koa, not previously seen in the Taylor range. It was these new varieties of tonewoods that inspired Master Builder Andy Powers to design the brand new Koa series with a new look and feel.

Crafted with solid, select-grade Hawaiian Koa, the 724ce Koa serves up a lively, punchy response that complements the Koa's sweet natural midrange, and is incredibly responsive to the player's individual touch. An ultra-thin open-pore finish looks and feels like unfinished wood, delivering a warm, tactile feel. In typical Taylor fashion, the 724ce Koa features a Neo-Tropical Mahogany neck topped with a beautiful West African Ebony fingerboard and all-new Mother-of-Pearl fountain inlays.

An ES2 Expression System delivers natural sounding amplification with controls for volume, treble and bass and allows the guitar's individual characteristics to shine through. Other premium features included Rosewood binding, a Paua rosette accented with Rosewood and Maple, Rosewood/Maple top edge trim, stained Maple pickguard and polished bronze tuners.

Key Features

  • All-Solid Construction - Solid wood is more resonant and generally has a warmer, fuller tone. The more you play the guitar over time, the more woods mature so it actually sounds better the older it gets!
  • ES2 Expression System - A mainstay in Taylor guitars for years, the ES2 is a transparent sounding pickup that won't colour your tone. It simply takes the natural sound of the guitar and makes it louder!
  • Open-Pore Finish - Open-pore finishes allow the guitar to resonate and project sound better, resulting in more volume and tone. The satin feel also helps when playing in hot environments as it doesn't get sticky, allowing your hands to move freely across the guitar.
  • Grand Auditorium Body - The Grand Auditorium is Taylor's signature and most popular body shape and embodies the ultimate all-purpose acoustic. Size wise, it sits nicely in between the smaller Grand Concert and larger Dreadnought models.
  • Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case - This heavy duty hard case provides optimal protection for your guitar when it's time to hit the road, as well as offering a convenient storage option at home.
