Key Features:

  • Devils in the details:
Tweak and automate things like filter, pitch and more... add stereo effects, compressor and next generation punch-in effects.
  • Round 2 Sampling:
Keeping within the vibes of the Pocket Operator, the K.O II is easily transportable, with it’s included line in and microphone + Speaker, it allows you to sample pretty much anything at will. Birds singing for your ambient sleep aid, or a rave banger putting the weekly fire alarm test to good use as a new lead sound.
  • Knockout Sequencer:
The sequencer engine of the K.O. II provides an intuitive, fast way of building up beats and variations using 4 groups x 12 patterns. like most daws, you can instantly swap patterns per group, experiment with different combos to find what beat and bass lines work together. the commit button helps you freeze a point in time and move on, adding a verse or a break. it all happens in real time while playing.

I’m only 5 weeks in, and it I love it with great frustration. It has so many cool features, but I can’t find a way to record a whole performance or song, or export it to my DAW. I’m also a little sad that it’s only 64Mb RAM, when in 2024 - RAM is relatively cheap. I feel that quite a lot of ram is wasted in my sample lead times and without a re-sampling feature that this will prevail. Polyphony can be an issue too with only 6 stereo samples available, and lots of note stealing. Interface is 💯, and I love the styling, but I’m left wondering how much better a product thus would have been if it was £100 more expensive

Lots of fun for instant sampling and music making. Has limitations in features but can’t complain for the price point. The tinny speaker isn’t really worth using so best with some external speakers or headphones.

Nice bit of gear. Still learning it but good for traveling and making ideas.

i'm loving the EP-133. for a 'non-musician' like myself this is great way to play around and have fun putting together beats and performing them. i've seen a good number of people moaning about some of the workflow or lack of certain features but i'm not even close to finding something to moan about. it looks cool, sounds cool, and very portable. it's exactly the kind of expensive toy that brings out the kid in me, and that's worth every penny in my book.

Really easy and fast to bang out ideas and the midi sequencing capabilities are really slept on.
