Stone Deaf Noise Reaper Noise Gate Pedal
Eliminates Noise from Even the Dirtiest of Guitar & Bass Signals!
Stone Deaf's Noise Reaper pedal is designed to eliminate tone-ruining hum and hiss from your guitar or bass signal — even if you use tonnes of gain! This studio-quality noise gate is one of the best examples currently available on the market, and it's intuitive one-knob interface lets you quickly set the threshold so that you can put more focus into your playing.
In short, the Stone Deaf Noise Reaper gives you the freedom to craft the dirtiest overdrive, distortion or fuzz sounds possible without worrying about the amount of feedback or hiss it'll create. The Noise Reaper will effortlessly tame anything you throw at it!
Efficient Noise Reduction
The Noise Reaper is based on the same cutting-edge noise gate technology that you’ll find in Stone Deaf's distortion pedals, like the Fig Fumb and Warp Drive, and is an evolution of a deceptively simple circuit that’s designed specifically to give you the purest signal possible.
It works by comparing the unaffected signal from your guitar with noisier signals (like those from distortion pedals), to give you responsive noise gating that won't kill sustain. Only the best studio noise gates work this way, and Stone Deaf's Noise Reaper puts that same tech in a convenient, compact pedal format.
You can use the Noise Reaper in a number of ways, to tame noisy pedals or amplifiers. Its built-in loop allows you to isolate the source of hiss/hum and apply noice reduction to only that, rather than your entire signal chain. For example, you can place just your overdrive, distortion and fuzz pedals in the Noise Reaper's loop if they're the only elements in your rig that are introducing noise.
A guitar amp's preamp section can also be a common source of noise, and you can therefore make use of both the Noise Reaper and your amp's effects loops to reduce noise coming from the preamp stage. And if you want a completely "de-noised" signal, you can even use two Noise Reaper pedals together. Be careful though, once you’ve tried this method — you’ll never want to go back!
