The pickup configuration of the Sire Larry Carlton L5 guitars consists of three lipstick-shaped, single-coil units that not only look great, but also impact greatly on the sonic output of the instrument. Producing a clear and twangy sound, these pickups, when combined, cancels out the familiar hum normally associated with single-coils.

Enhanced sustain, tone and resonance

The Tune-O-Matic bridge with a string thru body design helps to promote increased sustain throughout the guitar, improving the tone and resonance of the instrument. This boost in sustain allows the notes to hang in the air for longer.
