Head-turning

Developed as a showstopper for less than a handful of Private Stock acoustic guitar models, the Birds of a Feather fingerboard inlays take centre stage of this already head-turning guitar. Inspired by a flock of birds and the idea of individuals bursting from the group the Birds of a Feather fingerboard design shows the birds separating from the group soaring up the fingerboard and up into the headstock in a spectacular display. Fittingly elegant the design perfectly demonstrates the high level of craftmanship used to build this guitar. 

It's all in the Wood

Sometimes it's good to be picky and something the craftspeople at the PRS Private Stock are famous for is being picky about wood. Taking inspiration from the tried and tested combination of a Mahogany body with a Maple top, the Special 22 takes things up a gear with its stunning Ribboned Mahogany body and Curly Maple top. The Semi-Hollow body allows the guitar to breathe and enhances its rich overtones while the snappiness of the maple balances it all out for a very natural-sounding guitar.

Ready for Anything

Perfectly complimented with a pair of in-house made 58/15 Low Turn Humbucking pickups in addition to a Narrowfield Single Coil in the middle, the Special 22 is ready for just about anything thanks to its 5-way switch and 2 mini toggles for coil-splitting. A total of 12 different options are available making for an extremely versatile addition to your collection. The LT 58/15s offer a slightly vintage voice with sweet highs and tons of clarity on top of a focused midrange and clear lows. Perfectly balanced allowing for the natural voice of the Semi-Hollow body to sing.
