The classic pairing of Mahogany body and Maple top creates a well balanced tonal foundation. Mahogany is famed for its warmth with a rich midrange character, bringing a full-bodied tone. The Maple cap compliments this by adding brightness and articulation. The chambered body acts both as weight relief and tonal shaper. It creates a rounder attack on the notes as you pick, giving it a rich warm character, slightly akin a semi-hollow.

The neck also combines elements of vintage feel, with a "U" shaped Mahogany neck, and modern performance with a fairly flat 12" fingerboard radius, allowing for a low action and fast playability. The set neck is now fitted in a deeper pocket, allowing for increased fret access and mobility. This is enhanced by a subtle rolled cutaway heel joint for increased comfort when playing the upper frets, without compromising on the vintage Gretsch look. The Bigsby is a nod to classic Gretsch, retaining a vintage character and smooth vibrato to add greater expression to your arsenal!

The Broad'Tron BT65 Pickups provide a more modern sound than a traditional Filter'Tron. Designed by Tim Shaw, famed pickup designer, it retains the famed Gretsch sparkle, but adds bark and bite! With a higher output, stronger midrange character and increase low-end thump, perfect for overdrive. Responding to players' need for increased comfort, the Jet BT features a lowered neck set that greatly improves fret-hand mobility while also giving the picking hand a closer approach, increasing comfort and accuracy. Our new full-access rolled cutaway and tapered heel allows the free access to upper frets without awkward pivoting or palm obstruction. This sleek design remains hidden, preserving a vintage aesthetic – a critical feature that is meant to be felt, not seen.

The Jet BT comes equipped with additional Players Edition features that give you total control of your tone and performance, including no-load master tone pot with Squeezebox™ paper-in-oil capacitor, master volume with treble bleed circuit and individual pickup volume controls.
