Key Features

• 50s Rounded “C” Neck – Authentic to its time, the profile of this neck is very comfortable for players with smaller hands, and is designed with performance in mind.
• Murphy Lab Light Aging – This guitar has been lightly aged to make the guitar look like it was made directly in 1954 to give that special feel.
• Gibson Narrow-Tall Frets – Modern narrow and tall frets are easy to bend and play at speed. The height of these frets means that you don't need to apply very much pressure at all with your fretting hand.

While some were produced in 1953, 1954 was the first full year for the classy-looking, tuxedo-inspired Gibson Les Paul Custom. The Custom was the first guitar to come equipped with the now-legendary ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge.

Like the earliest Les Paul Customs, this Custom Shop reissue is equipped with a Alnico V Staple P90 Pickup in the neck, and a Custom Soapbar P-90 for the bridge pickup.

The body is created from the highest-grade of one-piece Mahogany. Gold Waffleback tuners with plastic buttons, CTS potentiometers, & paper in oil capacitors.

Tonewoods

The body is made from the highest grade, hand-selected Mahogany, with the neck made from 50s rounded medium-shaped Mahogany, with an Ebony fretboard.

Murphy Lab Light Aging

The Murphy Lab Light Aged finish treatment, paired with lightly aged hardware, simulates decades of natural play wear, giving it the unique character, vibe, and feel of an original example from the Gibson Golden Era.
