Product Description

Fender have done it again! The new Vintera II series has built upon the success of the first Vintera launch, giving you accurate recreations of timeless, classic electric guitars from the golden eras of Fender’s history, with a sprinkle of contemporary comforts. The new Vintera II’s bring you more accurate and detailed vintage specifications, with the use of Rosewood fretboards on selected models, era specific pickups, and the addition of new guitars to the range.

The use of more traditional, vintage-style components in the Vintera II series makes them one of the most era specific guitars Fender have made. This puts the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s eras in your hands for you to wield a stylish, vintage sounding, and an authentic feeling electric guitar! The Vintera II series pays tribute to the innovatively designed instruments that defined decades of music.

‘60s Jazz Bass

Fender’s next innovation in the world of bass guitars was the Jazz Bass that was introduced in 1960. The Vintera II Jazz Bass incorporates all the versatile and reliable specifications that made the original so great. Many famous artists have used the Jazz Bass over the years, such as Flea from RHCP, and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, showcasing the vast playable styles of this twin single coil instrument. This faithful recreation features an Alder body and Maple neck for balanced resonance that supports the punchy clear sound projected by the vintage-style ‘60s single coil pickups. These pickups produce a bright and vibrant tone, with a hotter output that gives a midrange growl, perfect for a wide variety of different styles.

The flawlessly carved “C” neck shape is based on the early ‘60s profile that many people have come to know and love for its comfortability and greatly balanced support when moving around the neck. For solid tuning stability, the vintage-style 4-saddle bridge combined with the vintage-style reverse open-gear tuners give precise intonation that maintains that distinguishable, versatile, and vintage sound. The Vintera II Jazz Bass is a prime example of Fender’s innovative and genre defining stable in the industry, providing vintage character in style and tone.
