The Shields Blender is Fender's first ever signature fuzz pedal. A truly historic collaboration between Fender and Kevin Shields — the creative force behind shoegaze pioneers My Bloody Valentine and a true effects pedal genius — this limited edition stompbox is assembled in the USA and comes accompanied with a limited print art box, a limited print hand-signed collector's booklet with an exclusive story and photos, and a screen-printed plaque bearing Shields' signature.
History of Kevin Shields & The Fender Blender
An innovator and pivotal influence on effect-laden guitar tones, Kevin Shields awakened iconic sonic walls of fuzz like the world had never heard before as he defined the tone of alternative rock in the late '80s and early '90s. His tool of choice for this fuzzy chaos? An original Fender Blender, prized for its dynamic response and gripping high-gain splatter. Now, through over four years of co-development, Fender and Shields have resurrected this mythical '70s fuzz and injected a subversive feature-set — creating the all-new Fender Shields Blender!
Earth-Shaking "Shoegaze" Sounds In A Box!
At its core, the Fender Shields Blender echoes the tone of Shields' own vintage 1970s Fender Blender, thanks to carefully hand-tracing the circuit from his personal fuzz box. Built around this vintage circuit are entirely new ways of controlling and blending the original fuzz voice, all crafted with performance in mind utilising four easy-access footswitches.
Two foot-switchable channels of fuzz, each with dedicated level knobs, offer the ability to blend the fuzz voice with your clean signal or to blend the fuzz voice with a beefy sub-octave fuzz. The sag footswitch introduces sputtering and ducking effects never before heard, all controlled by the intensity of your playing dynamics.

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
Then, your order will come through to Andertons and we'll send you the goods. Get approval before 3pm and we'll send your order out the same working day (stock permitting) for next working day delivery!
Who can apply for finance?
You must: spend over £300, be at least 18 years of age, have been a UK resident for 3 years or more, be able to make repayments by Direct Debit, be in regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your partner who is in regular employment.
