Amazing sound with very flexible sound tuning capabilities and very deep and flexible approach to building intricate complex beats and tones. Synth engine combined with samples and the DAW integration via Overbridge is such a well integrated solution that it simply disappears and lets you focus on the great sounds. Really deep and well thought out instrument that I believe will stay as the backbone of my music production rig for years to come. Expensive unit but worth it for the sounds, and it’s built to last.

Astounding piece of equipment. I had read a lot about it and watched a ton of videos before buying this so knew what to expect, but I've still been blown away by what it's capable of and how robust it is. The interface is a bit unusual at first but when you get your head around it it quickly becomes an extension of your body and mind, just like a good instrument should.

I own an MPC Live that I sue for my band and touring, I wanted a machine that didn’t rely on a screen as much. I’m still learning all the features but so far I’m very happy with the sound and I he hands on approach to making beats as well as the sound sculpting capabilities of the Rytm. The layout is very intuitive and with all the online tutorials available you can start making beats very quickly, the steep learning curve is not that steep really... it is the priciest machine I’ve bought though, besides my laptop. But so far I think it’s worth it.

Great sound with elektron flexibility and features. Love that fact you can layer analog synthesis with samples on each drum track.

Easily the best drum machine around, truly inspiring to use, deep control functionality, wonderful sounds, a dream to programme. It's a little bit pricey, but worth every penny.

Sounds amazing. Looks beautiful. Built to last generations. That legendary Elektron sequencer, but with more power (midi out, Overbridge, sampling, multiple outs, class compliant USB audio) And the sound. Earth shaking.

For me, the RYTM MK2 fills a few desires I had. I'll be honest, the MK1 didn't really interest me, however! with the addition of sampling and that killer Dual VCO I saw this drum machine in a whole new light. It isn't just a drum machine and isn't only a machine for Techno music (as that's basically what you see on Youtube). The RYTM is whatever you want it to be. The price is pretty intense, however what you get in this box is worth it. The workflow is spot on, I have the Octatrack and Analog Keys and you can see where Elektron have learned and improved on workflow designs. Experimentation is key, with such a machine.
