Product Description

Introducing the StarCrash '70s Collection, where we invite you to bring your vintage tonal dreams into the present from the time when the majority of rock ‘n’ roll’s most iconic and sought-after tones were forged, the 1970s. Several of our most iconic ‘70s inspired boxes have been given a paint job that wouldn’t look out of place on the side of a snazzy panel van. We’ve also introduced two new pedals to round out this line! The Starcrash is a ‘70s style fuzz circuit that’s been carefully tuned for maximum sustain with a handful of extras, while the Sidearm is our spin on the classic “green” overdrive of yore with some powerful and intuitive EQ options. Whichever type of rock you associate with the ‘70s, the StarCrash '70s Collection has you covered no matter what.

Overview

The Catalinbread ADINEKO pedal faithfully models the mysterious and distinctive sound of vintage oil can delay units, offering echo, reverb, and vibrato.

Oil can delay units were manufactured by a company named Tel-Ray, who later became better known as Morley. Tel-Ray mostly focused on being the OEM, utilizing their oil can technology (Patent US3530227 A) and branding units for Gibson (GA-RE4), Fender (Dimension IV), Acoustic, etc. They employed an electrostatic storage method where the signal is “recorded” to a spinning disk. A layer of oil (for years rumored to be a mysterious carcinogenic oil) prevented this signal from leaking into the air before a “pickup” moments later played back the signal recorded to the disk. Compared to the counterparts of the day (tape, drum, wire delay machines), their sound was more low fidelity, murky, often with a more consistent musical vibrato that correlated to the spinning disk speed. We like to describe the sound as mysterious. The Catalinbread ADINEKO pedal is an echo, reverb, vibrato pedal that faithfully models the sonic experience of these oil can units.

Power Supply

The ADINEKO must be powered with a center-negative, regulated 9-18V DC external power supply.
