This guitar is fantastic and a great addition to my collection. This is the first Schecter i have owned and it was the sustainiac feature which i was drawn towards. Ive owned an Ebow in the past but the built in sustainer is far superior. As far as the guitar goes, my main guitar is an Ibanez Jem 70v which i have been playing for 8 years, i was slightly nervous to try something different but this has surpassed my expectations and could well become my No1 moving forward. Setup out of the box was fine, i think it ships with 11's and i play 9's so i needed to make some adjustments to the trem and action to accommodate but once set up this thing is perfect. Holds its tune and sounds beautiful. Also, coming from a Jem with DiMarzio pickups, the EMG active pickup was a whole new beast and a sound i was not expecting. I had read active pickups detract from a certain amount of expression and can be a bit harsh but this is far from my experience so far, rolling back the volume enables those warmer tones and expression i would expect from a passive pickup, to my ear anyway. Looks - This is a beast, i absolutely love the finish and the roman numeral fret markers are insane. There is nothing i dislike about this guitar. It was a present from my wife for Christmas and a month in i am still loving my Schecter.
