Good range of sounds but I haven’t spent enough time to reliably compare to other guitars other than to say it seems to have some bite and enough brightness for my old ears. Nothing wrong in the set up so I don’t want to put it down when I start playing. I’m not used to a seven string but even so I think a pro set up will help. I have decent Jacksons and was playing an E-11 recently which are better. Looks killer, main reason for buying and I like the shaped back in particular. I looked at a few mid price Jacksons over the last year that all had minor finish problems. Fingerboard is lower quality (in appearance) than wed have expected a few years ago but doesn’t detract from the look too much. (I’ve seen worse). This looks perfect. Andertons was more expensive (I bought because I was impatient) and it’s hard to say Jackson’s are good value but I’m happy enough. Downside is it’s too big for the case that Jackson claim fits it. (The case is about an inch too short, you’d need to carve out the liner to get it in and the guitar would be rigid in the case as it is so any shock or flex in the case would be transmitted into the guitar.)
