Product Description

Introducing the StarCrash '70s Collection, where we invite you to bring your vintage tonal dreams into the present from the time when the majority of rock ‘n’ roll’s most iconic and sought-after tones were forged, the 1970s. Several of our most iconic ‘70s inspired boxes have been given a paint job that wouldn’t look out of place on the side of a snazzy panel van. We’ve also introduced two new pedals to round out this line! The Starcrash is a ‘70s style fuzz circuit that’s been carefully tuned for maximum sustain with a handful of extras, while the Sidearm is our spin on the classic “green” overdrive of yore with some powerful and intuitive EQ options. Whichever type of rock you associate with the ‘70s, the StarCrash '70s Collection has you covered no matter what.

Overview

The Catalinbread SFT is an AMPEG® inspired foundation overdrive that bridges the "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out (Stones) and the Desert Sound (Stoner) eras.

The SFT is an overdrive pedal from our Foundation series that captures the essence of two distinct eras in rock history. Transitioning from the jangly Ampeg®-driven '69 sound epitomized by Keith Richards to the gritty desert rock tone of the late '90s and mid-2000s, the SFT offers versatility through a Stones/Stoner button and controls for Treble, Bass, Volume, and Gain. It delivers a rootsy, mildly overdriven tone reminiscent of vintage tube amps at low gain settings, while activating the Stones/Stoner button unleashes raw power for QOTSA-style dirt. By manipulating onboard guitar controls, players can further explore the pedal's sonic range.

Power Supply

You can power your SFT with any quality power supply designed for use with effects pedals. The output should be a negative tip DC from 9 to 18 volts. If you want more volume, headroom, and percussive attack, try running an 18-volt power supply.
