Fender G-DEC 3 Thirty Amp

The new age of guitar amplifiers has arrived! The new G Dec 3 Series from Fender is a guitar amp and an advanced media centre all in one! If you aren't already familiar with the previous G-Dec amps, they are basically designed as all-in-one practice centres, so as well as having a great Fender amp (with amp and FX modelling that mean you won't need to hook up your entire pedalboard every time you want to jam) you get a system which manages and plays backing tracks, allows you to practice using a phrase trainer and even compose a song by looping and moving around phrases that you record!

In addition to all the great features built into the G-Dec 3, Fender have teamed up with music publishers Hal Leonard to offer popular Hal Leonard songbooks on G-Dec Friendly SD cards. The cards contain play-along backing tracks, and with many popular songs available, learning guitar is easier and more fun than ever before.

The 3rd Generation G Dec builds upon this great idea by offering dozens of preset jamming tracks and presets in multiple genres programmed by some of the world's top studio session guitarists. It also has a built in MP3/Wav player and SD Card slot so you can customise your G-Dec for the type of music you play.

It doesn't end there either. The G-Dec 30 connects to your computer via USB in a plug and play fashion, and the included digital recording output and Abelton / Amplitube software so you can record and edit your music with ease. The USB interface is also a platform for editing the content on your G-Dec without having to spend hours learning to navigate using small buttons on your amp. Fender's included FUSE software lets you manage your backing tracks and sounds with ease.

All of this for a similar price to what you'd expect to pay for a decent small combo anyway, you've really got a no brainer here if you're looking for the ultimate practice amp to sharpen your chops! 

Fender are constantly adding downloadable patches and presets to their website for G-Dec. The latest is a round of patches and band tracks created by none other than Steve Vai.
