    Product Description

The Fender Custom Shop represents the highest level of quality and attention to detail. Eye-catching beauty, exquisite tones and unmatched playability; Fender’s Custom Shop instruments epitomise all of those qualities. Whether you're in the market for a timeless, period-accurate workhorse or a unique, ultra modern piece of art, the Custom Shop has it all! We here at Andertons are privileged to stock one of the largest collections of Fender Custom Shop guitars in Europe!

The Fender Custom Shop 61 Stratocaster Heavy Relic is a painstakingly accurate recreation of an early 60s Strat that just oozes vintage charm! Featuring a two-piece Alder Body with a thin Nitrocellulose finish, the 61 Stratocaster feels like a vintage instrument from the moment you pick it up. Boasting Fender Custom Shop's heavy relic treatment, you would be forgiven for thinking that the guitar has been played for sixty years! The level of care and attention to detail is truly mind-blowing! The 60s-style Oval "C" shape Maple neck has also been given the relic treatment and has a comfortable worn-in feel to it. Topped with a AAA Rosewood fingerboard with a vintage 7.25" radius, the 61 Stratocaster makes light work of rhythm playing and chord shapes.

At the heart of the 61 Stratocaster is a trio of hand wound Custom Shop 65 Strat pickups, offering up a host of vintage single coil tones. These versatile pickups are wound to be a little hotter, making them perfect for blues and rock tones. Whether you favour sparkling cleans or gritty overdrives, the 61 Stratocaster can do it all, with tonnes of character! A traditional-style American Vintage tremolo system allows for plenty of vintage vibrato effects and a set of Sperzel Deluxe tuners ensure you stay in tune when doing so! Adorned in a stunning Fiesta Red finish, the 61 Stratocaster comes in a Custom Shop hard case with accompanying certificate of authenticity.

    Key Features

    • Heavy Relic Finish - With plenty of dings and wear and tear, you’ll feel like you’re wielding a true piece of guitar history!
    • Hand Wound Custom Shop Pickups - Hand wound pickups often have a little more character than those wound by a machine. The 65 Strat pickups deliver everything from bright and twangy to smooth and soulful and everything in between!
    • Nitrocellulose Lacquer - Nitrocellulose lacquer, or Nitro for short, is a thin lacquer than ages over time, allowing the guitar to develop it's own character the more you play it.
    • 60s-Style Oval "C" Neck Profile - Arguably one of Fender's most popular neck carves, the Oval "C" profile lends itself perfectly to both rhythm and lead playing, anywhere on the fingerboard.
    • Custom Shop Hard Case - This stylish hard case keeps your precious guitar safe from the elements when it's time to hit the road!
