If you are a gigging musician there is a piece of kit you are probably missing from your set up. That is your own PA system. And while you may see ones at pubs and clubs that are massive and look like you need a three man team just to lift the sub this is different.

The Samson XP1000 portable PA System really is what is says on the tin. It is small and lightweight enough to be easily transported to any gig without issue while still being loud enough to fill up small to medium venues.

All Built In

There are loads of options when it comes to building your own PA system but very few are as well integrated as the XP1000. The 10 channel powered mixer lives in the back of one of the monitors and is easily removable for when you need to set up on stage.

Because the mixer is powered you don't need to power the speakers separately so it takes just one mains lead and two jack cables to get up and running (excluding your inputs of course).

Ins And Outs

Normally when you get a portable PA system the mixer is going to be heavy limited in connectivity. Again that is not the case here as you have a 10 channel mixer ready to go at absolutely any time.

The first 4 channels have both XLR mic ins as well as 1/4" line/instrument inputs you then have three stereo L/R line channel taking up the rest of the channels. This then all feeds out through a standard set of 1/4" jack outputs which feed directly in to the included speakers.

The most interesting part of the I/O is that you have bluetooth built in to connect to your smartphone/tablet to play music straight through wirelessly.

The Speakers

Finally the most important part of this setup is the speakers! Both of the loudspeakers are loaded up with a 10" woofer and 1" tweeter that gives a great cross section of sound. They pack a hell of a low end punch for such compact speakers so you don't need to use big and heavy subwoofers.

Rated at over 500w each these speakers really have a lot of punch to them so you can use them at both small and medium sized gigs. From the pub to the hall you will never sound weak with this system.

Finally another great use for these speakers is that on their side they sit at 30 degrees making them perfect for stage monitors. You will never know when a venue can't provide stage monitors at which point you will be glad you picked up this system.
